Senator Simpson Joins Sheriff Nocco in Fight Against Synthetic Drugs

New Port Richey, Fla. —

This morning, Senator Wilton Simpson (R-Trilby) participated in Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco's press conference regarding the implementation of Attorney General Bondi's Emergency Order and the newly adopted Pasco County Synthetic Drug Ordinance.

"The health and safety of Floridian's is of the utmost importance, and I applaud Attorney General Bondi, Sheriff Nocco and all the law enforcement entities around the state who are taking action on this issue," said Senator Simpson. "The business owners selling these synthetic drugs have been put on notice: the State of Florida will not tolerate the unlawful distribution of these dangerous substances. I look forward to supporting legislation during the 2013 Session that will make the Emergency Order a permanent state law."
