Senator Altman supports Governor Scott’s statements on Everglades Restoration and Natural Resources Protection

Melbourne, Fla. — Florida State Senator and Everglades Caucus Co-Chairman Thad Altman is optimistic about Governor Rick Scott's recent comments and activities in support of the state's natural resources and the nation's greatest ecosystem: The Everglades.

“Governor Scott is saying the right things and should be recognized for his leadership in the matter of natural resource management and Everglades restoration.  Particularly, I agree with his November 27th statement that, 'In Florida, we don’t have to choose between a healthy environment and a healthy economy. The two are inextricably linked...'”

“He (Scott) also recently addressed the Everglades Foundation and said his 'administration is absolutely focused on making sure the right thing happens with the Everglades,' which has conservationists rallying.”
