       The Committee on Health Regulation (Gaetz) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 1182 - 1203
    4  and insert:
    5         nurse practitioner terminated from participating in the
    6  Medicaid program, pursuant to s. 409.913, or sanctioned by the
    7  Medicaid program a statement that the practitioner has been
    8  terminated from participating in the Florida Medicaid program or
    9  sanctioned by the Medicaid program.
   10         Section 18. Section 456.0635, Florida Statutes, is created
   11  to read:
   12         456.0635Medicaid fraud; disqualification for license,
   13  certificate, or registration.—
   14         (1)Medicaid fraud in the practice of a health care
   15  profession is prohibited.
   16         (2)Each board within the jurisdiction of the department,
   17  or the department if there is no board, shall refuse to admit a
   18  candidate to any examination and refuse to issue or renew a
   19  license, certificate, or registration to any applicant if the
   20  candidate or applicant or any principle, officer, agent,
   21  managing employee, or affiliated person of the applicant, has
   22  been:
   23         (a)Convicted of, or entered a plea of guilty or nolo
   24  contendere to, regardless of adjudication, a felony under
   25  chapter 409, chapter 817, chapter 893, 21 U.S.C. ss. 801-970, or
   26  42 U.S.C. ss. 1395-1396; or
   27         (b)Terminated for cause, pursuant to the appeals
   28  procedures established by the state or federal government, from
   29  any state Medicaid program or the
