3     Amendment (with title amendment)
4     Between lines 395 and 396, insert:
5     Section 9.  Subsection (4) is added to section 185.03,
6Florida Statutes, to read:
7     185.03  Municipal police officers' retirement trust funds;
8creation; applicability of provisions; participation by public
9safety officers.-For any municipality, chapter plan, local law
10municipality, or local law plan under this chapter:
11     (4)(a)  The provisions of this chapter shall apply only to
12municipalities organized and established pursuant to the laws of
13the state, and said provisions shall not apply to the
14unincorporated areas of any county or counties nor shall the
15provisions hereof apply to any governmental entity whose police
16officers are eligible to participate in the Florida Retirement
17System.
18     (b)  With respect to the distribution of premium taxes, a
19single consolidated government consisting of a former county and
20one or more municipalities, consolidated pursuant to s. 3 or s.
216(e), Art. VIII of the State Constitution, is also eligible to
22participate under this chapter. The consolidated government
23shall notify the division when it has entered into an interlocal
24agreement to provide police services to a municipality within
25its boundaries. The municipality may enact an ordinance levying
26the tax as provided in s. 185.08. Upon being provided copies of
27the interlocal agreement and the municipal ordinance levying the
28tax, the division shall distribute any premium taxes reported
29for the municipality to the consolidated government as long as
30the interlocal agreement is in effect.

34     Remove line 29 and insert:
35calculating retirement benefits; amending s. 185.03, F.S.;
36specifying applicability of ch. 185, F.S., to certain
37consolidated governments; providing that a municipality that has
38entered into an interlocal agreement to provide police
39protection services to another incorporated municipality, in its
40entirety, is eligible to receive the premium taxes reported for
41the other municipality under certain circumstances; authorizing
42the municipality receiving the police protection services to
43enact an ordinance levying a tax as provided by law; amending s.
44185.05,
