SB 1262: Disability Awareness

GENERAL BILL by Fasano

Disability Awareness; Requires that district school boards provide disability history and awareness instruction in all K-12 public schools. Requires certification of individuals delivering the instruction. Requires that the Governor's Commission on Disabilities initiate a study on disability awareness training to be conducted by a private nonprofit entity. Requires that the commission oversee a statewide disability awareness training provider and certification program. Requires that the commission promote disability awareness training in all public entities in the state, etc.

Effective Date: upon becoming a law
