       Senator Bogdanoff moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (147806) (with ballot
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Delete lines 246 - 251
    5  and insert:
    6         (d)Each appointment of a justice of the supreme court is
    7  subject to confirmation by the senate. The senate may sit for
    8  the purpose of confirmation regardless of whether the house of
    9  representatives is in session or not. If the senate fails to
   10  vote on the appointment of a justice within 90 days, the justice
   11  shall be deemed confirmed. If the senate votes to not confirm
   12  the appointment,
