       Senators Siplin, Smith, Braynon, Hill, Sachs, Wise, Storms, and
       Margolis moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    4         Between lines 125 and 126
    5  insert:
    6         Section 2. Eligibility for Bright Future Scholarships drug
    7  screening program.—The Department of Education shall require a
    8  drug test, consistent with s. 112.0455, Florida Statutes, be
    9  conducted to screen each recipient of a Bright Futures
   10  Scholarship and each immediate family member of the scholarship
   11  recipient’s family. The cost of the drug test shall be the
   12  responsibility of the person receiving the scholarship.

   15         And the title is amended as follows:
   16         Delete line 22
   17  and insert:
   18         authority to the department; requiring the Department
   19         of Education to administer a drug test to each
   20         recipient of a Bright Futures Scholarship and each
   21         immediate family member of the scholarship recipient’s
   22         family; providing that the cost of the drug test be
   23         the responsibility of the person receiving the
   24         scholarship; providing an effective date.
