    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to reports required from the Public
    3         Service Commission; repealing s. 364.10(3)(i), F.S.,
    4         relating to Lifeline service subscriptions; amending
    5         s. 364.161, F.S.; removing a requirement that certain
    6         consumer complaint information be included in the
    7         commission’s annual report; repealing s. 364.3376(10),
    8         F.S., relating to random compliance investigations of
    9         certain operator services providers and call
   10         aggregators; repealing s. 364.386, F.S., relating to a
   11         report to the Legislature on the status of
   12         telecommunications competition; repealing s.
   13         427.704(9), F.S., relating to the annual report on the
   14         operation of the telecommunications access system;
   15         providing an effective date.

   17  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   18  
   19         Section 1. Paragraph (i) of subsection (3) of section
   20  364.10, Florida Statutes, is repealed.
   21         Section 2. Subsection (4) of section 364.161, Florida
   22  Statutes, is amended to read:
   23         364.161 Unbundling and resale.—
   24         (4) A local exchange telecommunications company shall
   25  provide unbundled network elements, services for resale,
   26  requested repairs, and necessary support services in a timely
   27  manner. The Public Service Commission shall maintain a file of
   28  all complaints by competitive local exchange telecommunications
   29  companies against local exchange telecommunications companies
   30  regarding timeliness and adequacy of service. This information,
   31  including how and when each complaint was resolved, shall be
   32  included with the commission’s annual report to the Legislature
   33  on competition.
   34         Section 3. Subsection (10) of section 364.3376, Florida
   35  Statutes, is repealed.
   36         Section 4. Section 364.386, Florida Statutes, is repealed.
   37         Section 5. Subsection (9) of section 427.704, Florida
   38  Statutes, is repealed.
   39         Section 6. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011.
