SB 856: Judicial Nominating Commissions

GENERAL BILL by Joyner

Judicial Nominating Commissions; Provides for the Board of Governors of The Florida Bar rather than the Governor to appoint members of judicial nominating commissions. Requires that each judicial nominating commission satisfy certain prerequisites for racial and gender diversity. Provides for the prerequisites to be satisfied over a period of time.
