JOINT RESOLUTION by Albritton ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Costello
Commissioner of Education; Proposes amendments to ss. 3 & 4, Art. IV and s. 2, Art. IX & creation of new section in Art. XII of State Constitution to provide for statewide election of Commissioner of Education & inclusion of commissioner as member of Cabinet; provides for commissioner to supervise state education system in manner provided by law; provides that Governor & Cabinet will constitute State Board of Education; includes commissioner as member of Board of Trustees of Internal Improvement Trust Fund & Land Acquisition Trust Fund & as component of head of Department of Law Enforcement.
