       The Committee on Health Regulation (Sobel) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. Beginning with the 2012-2013 school year, the
    6  parent or guardian of each student entering grade 6 shall be
    7  provided information on the availability of vaccination against
    8  human papillomavirus as recommended by the Centers for Disease
    9  Control and Prevention Advisory Committee on Immunization
   10  Practices (ACIP). Such information shall be approved by the
   11  Department of Health for dissemination by the Department of
   12  Education. The information will, at a minimum, include the
   13  connection between the human papillomavirus and cervical cancer
   14  as well as other cancers and diseases. The information must also
   15  notify the parent or guardian that a vaccine is available to
   16  help prevent human papillomavirus infection and that the vaccine
   17  is recommended to be given before grade 7 entry.
   18         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.

   22         Delete everything before the enacting clause
   23  and insert:
   24                        A bill to be entitled                      
   25         An act relating to the human papillomavirus; requiring
   26         information regarding the human papillomavirus, its
   27         effects, and available vaccines to parents or
   28         guardians of all children entering grade 6; providing
   29         an effective date.
