       Senator Evers moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (928190) 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 888 - 894
    4  and insert:
    5         (3) A dealer of farm or industrial equipment who conducts a
    6  repossession, as defined in s. 493.6101(22), of such equipment
    7  is not subject to licensure as a recovery agent or recovery
    8  agency if the dealer is regularly engaged in the sale of the
    9  equipment for a particular manufacturer, if the lender is
   10  affiliated with that manufacturer, and if the dealer uses his or
   11  her own employees to conduct the repossession. The dealer may
   12  repossess such equipment only if it can be done without breach
   13  of the peace after reviewing the information provided by the
   14  lender and confirming that the borrower’s name and any
   15  identification or serial number of the equipment being
   16  repossessed matches such information.
