Surgical Technology; Requires hospitals to establish policies & procedures for consideration of application submitted by person who may perform surgical technology functions in an operating room; provides educational & credentialing requirements; provides timeline for employees to acquire required credential; provides exemption to hold credential of certified surgical technologists within 6 months after date of hire; authorizes agency to accept survey or inspection conducted by accrediting organization as documentation of compliance.
