       The Committee on Ethics and Elections (Latvala) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 627 - 655
    4  and insert:
    5         (a) A statewide candidate or a political committee required
    6  to file reports with the division must file reports:
    7         1. On the 60th day immediately preceding the primary
    8  election, and each week thereafter, with the last weekly report
    9  being filed on the 11th day immediately preceding the general
   10  election.
   11         2. On the 10th day immediately preceding the general
   12  election, and each day thereafter, with the last daily report
   13  being filed the 4th day before the general election Except as
   14  provided in paragraph (b), the reports shall also be filed on
   15  the 32nd, 18th, and 4th days immediately preceding the primary
   16  and on the 46th, 32nd, 18th, and 4th days immediately preceding
   17  the election, for a candidate who is opposed in seeking
   18  nomination or election to any office, for a political committee,
   19  or for a committee of continuous existence.
   20  	(b) Any other candidate or a political committee required
   21  to file reports with a filing officer other than the division
   22  must file reports on the 60th day immediately preceding the
   23  primary election, and each week thereafter, with the last weekly
   24  report being filed on the 4th day immediately preceding the
   25  general election Any statewide candidate who has requested to
   26  receive contributions pursuant to the Florida Election Campaign
   27  Financing Act or any statewide candidate in a race with a
   28  candidate who has requested to receive contributions pursuant to
   29  the act shall also file reports on the 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th,
   30  and 32nd days prior to the primary election, and on the 4th,
   31  11th, 18th, 25th, 32nd, 39th, 46th, and 53rd days prior to the
   32  general election.
