    4         Between lines 1048 and 1049
    5  insert:
    6         Section 18. Subsection (3) of section 486.031, Florida
    7  Statutes, is amended to read:
    8         486.031 Physical therapist; licensing requirements.—To be
    9  eligible for licensing as a physical therapist, an applicant
   10  must:
   11         (3)(a) Have been graduated from a school of physical
   12  therapy which has been approved for the educational preparation
   13  of physical therapists by the appropriate accrediting agency
   14  recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary
   15  Accreditation or the United States Department of Education at
   16  the time of her or his graduation and have passed, to the
   17  satisfaction of the board, the American Registry Examination
   18  prior to 1971 or a national examination approved by the board to
   19  determine her or his fitness for practice as a physical
   20  therapist as hereinafter provided;
   21         (b) Have received a diploma from a program in physical
   22  therapy in a foreign country and have educational credentials
   23  deemed equivalent to those required for the educational
   24  preparation of physical therapists in this country, as
   25  recognized by the board or by an appropriate agency as
   26  identified by the board, and have passed to the satisfaction of
   27  the board an examination to determine her or his fitness for
   28  practice as a physical therapist as hereinafter provided; or
   29         (c) Be entitled to licensure without examination as
   30  provided in s. 486.081.

   36         486.031, F.S.; revising provisions relating to the
   37         recognition of physical therapy programs and
   38         educational credentials from foreign countries to meet
   39         requirements for licensing as a physical therapist;
