SB 854: Bail Bonds

GENERAL BILL by Abruzzo

Bail Bonds; Prohibiting a person from transmitting or posting an electronic bond with attached power of attorney unless he or she is duly qualified, licensed, appointed, and registered as a bail bond agent; authorizing a duly qualified, licensed, appointed, and registered bail bond agent to transmit electronic bonds within the judicial circuit in which the bail bond agency is located under certain circumstances; prohibiting an insurer or managing general agent from furnishing an unlicensed individual or entity a form necessary for transmitting or posting electronic bonds, etc.
