       Senator Bradley moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (378830) 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 9 - 11
    4  and insert:
    5         395.402 Trauma service areas; number and location of trauma
    6  centers.—
    7         (4) Annually thereafter, the department shall review the
    8  assignment of the 67 counties to trauma service areas, in
    9  addition to the requirements of paragraphs (2)(b)-(g) and
   10  subsection (3). County assignments are made for the purpose of
   11  developing a system of trauma centers. Revisions made by the
   12  department shall take into consideration the recommendations
   13  made as part of the regional trauma system plans approved by the
   14  department and the recommendations made as part of the state
   15  trauma system plan. In cases where a trauma service area is
   16  located within the boundaries of more than one trauma region,
   17  the trauma service area’s needs, response capability, and system
   18  requirements shall be considered by each trauma region served by
   19  that trauma service area in its regional system plan. Until the
   20  department completes the February 2005 assessment, the
   21  assignment of counties shall remain as established in this
   22  section.
   23         (c)In any trauma service area in which the department has
   24  designated or provisionally approved a total of one Level I or
   25  Level II trauma center and such trauma center ceases operation
   26  after July 1, 2015, and there is no other trauma center in the
   27  trauma service area,
