       Appropriations Subcommittee on Education (Montford) recommended
       the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. Subsection (2) of section 1010.04, Florida
    6  Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         1010.04 Purchasing.—
    8         (2) Each district school board and Florida College System
    9  institution board of trustees shall adopt rules, and each
   10  university board of trustees shall adopt regulations, to be
   11  followed in making purchases. Purchases may be made through an
   12  online procurement system, an electronic auction service, or
   13  other efficient procurement tool.
   14         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2016.

   19  and insert:
   20                        A bill to be entitled                      
   21         An act relating to procurement procedures for
   22         educational institutions; amending s. 1010.04, F.S.;
   23         authorizing specified educational institutions to make
   24         purchases through an online procurement system, an
   25         electronic auction service, or other efficient
   26         procurement tool; providing an effective date.
