       Senator Clemens moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (420294) 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 776 - 789
    4  and insert:
    5         (3)(a) To be eligible for a scholarship, a classroom
    6  teacher must have completed his or her second year of teaching;
    7  must have scored at or above the 60th percentile on the SAT or
    8  the ACT, based upon the National Percentile Ranks in effect when
    9  the teacher took the assessment; and must have been evaluated as
   10  highly effective pursuant to s. 1012.34.
   11         (b) In order to demonstrate eligibility for an award, an
   12  eligible classroom teacher must submit to the school district no
   13  later than November 1 an official record of his or her SAT or
   14  ACT score demonstrating that he or she scored at or above the
   15  60th percentile, based upon the National Percentile
