       Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government (Simpson)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 359 - 372
    4  and insert:
    5  carbon monoxide detector sensor devices that are listed as
    6  complying with ANSI/UL 2075, Standard for Gas and Vapor
    7  Detectors and Sensors, by a Nationally Recognized Testing
    8  Laboratory accredited by the Occupational Safety and Health
    9  Administration to list products to that standard bear the label
   10  of a nationally recognized testing laboratory and have been
   11  tested and listed as complying with the most recent Underwriters
   12  Laboratories, Inc., Standard 2034, or its equivalent, unless it
   13  is determined that carbon monoxide hazards have otherwise been
   14  adequately mitigated as determined by the Division of State Fire
   15  Marshal of the Department of Financial Services. Such devices
   16  must shall be integrated with the public lodging establishment’s
   17  fire detection system, or connected to the boiler safety circuit
   18  and wired so that the boiler is prevented from operating when
   19  carbon monoxide is detected until it is reset manually. Any such
   20  installation or determination shall be made in accordance with
   21  rules adopted by the Division of State Fire Marshal.

   24  And the title is amended as follows:
   25         Delete line 39
   26  and insert:
   27         to exempt a device from such standards; providing an
   28         alternative method of installing such devices;
   29         amending s.
