       The Committee on Criminal Justice (Steube) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. Subsection (3) of section 933.14, Florida
    6  Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         933.14 Return of property taken under search warrant.—
    8         (3)No pistol or firearm taken by any officer with a search
    9  warrant or without a search warrant upon a view by the officer
   10  of a breach of the peace shall be returned except pursuant to an
   11  order of a trial court judge.
   12         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.

   15  And the title is amended as follows:
   16         Delete everything before the enacting clause
   17  and insert:
   18                        A bill to be entitled                      
   19         An act relating to breach of the peace; amending s.
   20         933.14, F.S.; deleting a provision prohibiting the
   21         return of a pistol or firearm taken by any officer,
   22         with or without a search warrant, upon a view by the
   23         officer of a breach of the peace; deleting an
   24         exception; providing an effective date.
