       Senator Galvano moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment

    3         Delete lines 3014 - 3043
    4  and insert:
    5         (c)1. Conduct no less fewer than a full schedule of live
    6  racing or games as defined in s. 550.002(11), unless conducting
    7  less than a full schedule of live racing or games pursuant to s.
    8  550.01215(1)(b)–(e). A permitholder’s responsibility to conduct
    9  a full schedule such number of live races or games as defined in
   10  s. 550.002(11) shall be reduced by the number of races or games
   11  that could not be conducted due to the direct result of fire,
   12  war, hurricane, or other disaster or event beyond the control of
   13  the permitholder. A permitholder may conduct live races or games
   14  at another pari-mutuel facility pursuant to s. 550.475 if such
   15  permitholder has operated its live races or games by lease for
   16  at least 5 consecutive years immediately prior to the
   17  permitholder’s application for a slot machine license.
   18         2. If not licensed to conduct a full schedule of live
   19  racing or games, as defined in s. 550.002(11), pursuant to s.
   20  550.01215(1)(b)–(e), remit for the payment of purses and awards
   21  on live races an amount equal to the lesser of $2 million or 3
   22  percent of its slot machine revenues from the previous state
   23  fiscal year to a slot machine licensee licensed to conduct not
   24  fewer than 160 days of thoroughbred racing. A slot machine
   25  licensee receiving funds under this subparagraph shall remit,
   26  within 10 days of receipt, 10 percent of those funds to the
   27  Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association, Inc., for the
   28  payment of breeders’, stallion, and special racing awards,
   29  subject to the fee authorized in s. 550.2625(3). If no slot
   30  machine licensee is licensed for at least 160 days of live
   31  thoroughbred racing, no payments for purses are required. A slot
   32  machine licensee that conducts no live racing and is making
   33  purse and awards supplement payments due under agreements
   34  entered pursuant to paragraph (10)(a) prior to the effective
   35  date of this act may offset the total amount paid under such
   36  agreements for purses and awards on or after July 1, 2017,
   37  against any amount due under this subparagraph until the amount
   38  paid and the amount due equal zero. This
