       The Committee on Appropriations (Bracy) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (713918) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Between lines 18 and 19
    5  insert:
    6         Section 2. For the 2017-2018 fiscal year, $3 million in
    7  recurring funds from the General Revenue Fund is appropriated to
    8  the Department of Education for the High Growth Capital Outlay
    9  Assistance Grant Program.
   10         Section 3. Section 71 of Committee Substitute for House
   11  Bill 7069, First Engrossed, enacted in the 2017 Regular Session,
   12  is amended to read:
   13         Section 71. For the 2017-2018 fiscal year, $410,950,000
   14  $413,950,000 in recurring funds from the General Revenue Fund
   15  and $5 million in nonrecurring funds from the General Revenue
   16  Fund are appropriated to the Department of Education to
   17  implement this act. Of these funds, $233,950,000 shall be used
   18  to implement the Best and Brightest Teacher Scholarship Program
   19  pursuant to s. 1012.731, Florida Statutes, and the Best and
   20  Brightest Principal Scholarship Program pursuant to s. 1012.732,
   21  Florida Statutes, $30 million shall be used to implement the
   22  Gardiner Scholarship Program pursuant to s. 1002.385, Florida
   23  Statutes, and $10 million in recurring funds and $5 million in
   24  nonrecurring funds shall be used to implement the provisions of
   25  this act relating to statewide student assessments. The
   26  remaining funds shall be used to implement the remaining
   27  provisions of this act, except for the implementation of the
   28  Early Childhood Music Education Incentive Pilot Program, as
   29  created by s. 1003.481, Florida Statutes, the Committee on Early
   30  Grade Success, as created by section 65 of this act, and the
   31  Shared Use Task Force, as created by section 67 of this act.

   35         Delete line 32
   36  and insert:
   37         Education Finance Program; amending s. 71, CS for SB
   38         7069, 1st Eng., enacted in the 2017 Regular Session;
   39         revising appropriations to the Department of Education
   40         for implementation of CS for HB 7069; providing
   41         effective dates.
