       The Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs (Stargel)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 565 - 626
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 9. Paragraph (b) of subsection (3) of section
    6  409.1451, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         409.1451 The Road-to-Independence Program.—
    8         (3) AFTERCARE SERVICES.—
    9         (b) Aftercare services include, but are not limited to, the
   10  following:
   11         1. Mentoring and tutoring.
   12         2. Mental health services and substance abuse counseling.
   13         3. Life skills classes, including credit management and
   14  preventive health activities.
   15         4. Parenting classes.
   16         5. Job and career skills training.
   17         6. Counselor consultations.
   18         7. Temporary financial assistance for necessities,
   19  including, but not limited to, education supplies,
   20  transportation expenses, security deposits for rent and
   21  utilities, furnishings, household goods, and other basic living
   22  expenses.
   23         8. Financial literacy skills training pursuant to s.
   24  39.6035(1)(c).

   26  The specific services to be provided under this paragraph shall
   27  be determined by an assessment of the young adult and may be
   28  provided by the community-based care provider or through
   29  referrals in the community.
