House Comm: RCS . 04/02/2019 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs (Rouson) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment to Amendment (614880) 2 3 Delete lines 37 - 40 4 and insert: 5 (1) If a law enforcement officer has an interaction with a 6 parent or caregiver as described in this section and the 7 interaction results in the officer having a concern about a 8 child’s health, safety, or well-being, the law enforcement 9 officer shall report the relevant details of the interaction to 10 the central abuse hotline immediately after the interaction even 11 if the requirements of s. 39.201, relating to reporting of 12 knowledge or suspicion of abuse, abandonment, or neglect, are 13 not met.
