Congressional and State Legislative Districts for 2012 and Thereafter

The Legislature passed new congressional, state house, and state senate plans based on the 2010 Census, federal and state legal standards, citizen testimony, publicly-drawn maps, and open committee discussions. Search your address to see legislators and maps for your area.

Redistricting Milestones

  • June 20 - September 1, 2011: Statewide public hearings
  • September - December 2011: Interim committee meetings
  • January 10, 2012: Regular Session convenes
  • February 9, 2012: Redistricting plans pass
  • February 16, 2012: Governor approves congressional plan
  • March 9, 2012: Supreme Court declares all House districts and 32 of 40 Senate districts valid
  • March 14, 2012: Extraordinary apportionment session convenes
  • March 27, 2012: Revised Senate plan passes
  • April 27, 2012: Supreme Court declares revised Senate plan valid
  • April 30, 2012: U.S. Department of Justice OKs State House, Senate, and Congressional plans
  • June 4 - 8, 2012: Qualifying for state and federal offices
  • August 14, 2012: Primary election
  • November 6, 2012: General election
