A good place to begin a tour of the Capitol is at the Welcome Center. If you arrange a tour in advance, your tour guide will meet you there. The Welcome Center also has brochures and pamphlets on attractions all over the state of Florida. The people behind the desk are friendly and full of information.

Guided and self-guided tours of the Capitol are available through the Welcome Center, located at the west plaza entrance of the Capitol. For tours during the legislative session (March and April), reservations are recommended months in advance. For tour information call 850-488-6167.

Tour hours are:

• Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
  
• Closed New Years Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  

Tours of the Old Capitol are self guided and guide led. Guided tours are available by reservation. It is recommended reservations be made two weeks in advance, even earlier if you're planning on visiting during the legislative session. There is no fee for admission to the Old Capitol, but donations are appreciated. For information call 850-487-1902.
