Public Service Commission Nominating Council

The Public Service Commission Nominating Council was created by Section 350.031 of the Florida Statutes, for the purpose of screening and nominating applicants for appointment by the Governor to fill vacancies on the Florida Public Service Commission.

The Public Service Commission Nominating Council under Section 377.6015, Florida Statutes, is responsible for screening and nominating applicants for appointment by the Governor, Commissioner of Agriculture and Chief Financial Officer to fill vacancies on the Florida Energy and Climate Commission.

The Council consists of 12 members: six appointed by the President of the Senate and six appointed by the Speaker of the House. The Council usually meets twice a year.
