Senate 1052: Relating to Grandparental Visitation [SPSC]

S1052    GENERAL BILL/CS/CS by Judiciary; Children, Families, and Elder Affairs;
  Joyner  (Similar H 1521)
  Grandparental Visitation [SPSC]; Authorizes the grandparent of a minor
  child to petition a court for visitation under certain circumstances.
  Requires a preliminary hearing on harm to the minor resulting from
  denial of visitation. Authorizes appointment of a guardian ad litem and
  mediation following a prima facie showing of harm. Provides for
  modification of an order awarding grandparental visitation. Provides an
  exception to mediation of grandparent visitation disputes, etc.
  EFFECTIVE DATE: 10/01/2009.
