Senate 1996: Relating to State Universities [WPSC] ------------------------------------------------------------------

S1996    GENERAL BILL/CS/CS by Finance and Tax; Higher Education; Constantine
(Compare CS/CS/H 0499, CS/CS/1ST ENG/S 1696)
State Universities [WPSC]; Authorizes university boards of trustees to
establish a renewable energy fee under certain circumstances. Increases
the threshold amount used to replace minor facility projects. Revises
provisions relating to the University Facility Enhancement Challenge
Grant Program. Authorizes a university to expend funds from private
sources to develop a prospectus for a facility or site preparation or
initial planning and construction, etc. EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon becoming
law.
