Senate 0844: Relating to Postsecondary Distance Learning [SPSC] ------------------------------------------------------------------

S844     GENERAL BILL/CS by Higher Education; Oelrich  (Similar H 7121)
Postsecondary Distance Learning [SPSC]; Establishes the Florida Distance
Learning Consortium. Requires that the Board of Governors and the State
Board of Education jointly oversee the consortium. Authorizes the
consortium to enter into contracts for administrative services. Provides
duties for the consortium. Defines the term "distance learning course"
for purposes of assessing a distance learning course user fee for
community college and state university students. EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon
becoming law.
