Senate 2094: Relating to Juvenile Justice [SPSC] ------------------------------------------------------------------

S2094    GENERAL BILL/CS/CS by Criminal and Civil Justice Appropriations;
Children, Families, and Elder Affairs; Crist (Compare CS/CS/2ND
ENG/H 1211, H 1335, CS/H 1475, CS/2ND ENG/S 0910, S 1176, CS/S 2128,
CS/S 2218)
Juvenile Justice [SPSC]; Includes children 9 years of age or younger at
the time of referral for a delinquent act within the definition of those
children who are eligible to receive comprehensive mental health
services. Encourages law enforcement agencies, school districts,
counties, municipalities, and the DJJ to establish prearrest or
postarrest diversion programs for first-time misdemeanor offenders who
are 9 years of age or younger, etc. EFFECTIVE DATE: 07/01/2009.
