14         On page 9, line 18, after the period

16  insert:  For purposes of this section, the state's agencies or

17  instrumentalities shall be deemed to include any public or

18  private university school of medicine that is part of a public

19  or private university supported in whole or in part by state

20  funds and that has an affiliation with a local government or

21  state instrumentality under which the medical school's

22  computer system or systems, or diagnostic or therapeutic

23  equipment dependent upon date logic, are used, among other

24  things, in providing clinical patient care services to the

25  public.
