11 The Committee on Ways and Means recommended the following
12 amendment:

15 On page 4, between lines 6 and 7,

17 insert:
18 Section 3. The governmental entity responsible for
19 payment of the warrant shall make payment to the Florida
20 Agency for Health Care Administration the amount due under s.
21 409.910, Florida Statutes, prior to the disbursement of funds
22 to the claimant, except that the amount due to the agency
23 shall be reduced by the agency's proportionate share of legal
24 costs and attorney's fees. However, the amount due to the
25 Agency for Health Care Administration shall be reduced by no
26 more than 25%. The amount due to the agency shall be
27 calculated based on medical payments paid up to the date that
28 this bill becomes law.
