14         Senate Amendment 

15         On page 2, lines 3-6, delete those lines

16

17  and insert:  at least 3 months within the 6 months prior to

18  first being employed by the food and beverage industry, must

19  remain off of the welfare rolls for the 3 calendar quarters

20  immediately following the calendar quarter in which the

21  individual is first employed by the food and beverage

22  industry, and must have been employed in the food and beverage

23  industry for at least 3 calendar quarters. A participant

24  meeting these requirements may only be counted in the first

25  year in which the requirements are met. By July 1, 1999, and

26  each year
