11  Senators Laurent and Bronson moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 12, between lines 29 and 30,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 10.  Subsection (2) of section 372.6674,

18  Florida Statutes, 1998 Supplement, is amended to read:

19         372.6674  Required tagging of alligators and hides;

20  fees; revenues.--The tags provided in this section shall be

21  required in addition to any license required under s.

22  372.6673.

23         (2)  The commission may require that an alligator hide

24  validation tag be affixed to the hide of any alligator taken

25  from the wild and that such hide be possessed, purchased,

26  sold, offered for sale, or transported in accordance with

27  commission rule.  The commission is authorized to assess a fee

28  of up to $25 $30 for each alligator hide validation tag

29  issued. Additionally, there is a, of which $5 charge per

30  validated hide, excluding those validated from public hunt

31  programs, which shall may be transferred to the General

 1  Inspection Trust Fund, to be administered by the Department of

 2  Agriculture and Consumer Services for the purpose of providing

 3  marketing and education services with respect to alligator

 4  products produced in this state, notwithstanding other

 5  provisions in this chapter.
