11  Senator Klein moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 60, line 16, after the period

15

16  insert:  By August 1, 1999, Enterprise Florida, Inc., shall

17  establish an advisory committee on international business

18  issues, and an advisory committee on small business issues.

19  These committees shall be comprised of individuals

20  representing the private sector and the public sector with

21  expertise in the respective subject areas. The purpose of the

22  committees shall be to guide and advise Enterprise Florida,

23  Inc., on the development and implementation of policies,

24  strategies, programs, and activities affecting international

25  business and small business. The advisory committee on

26  international business and the advisory committee on small

27  business shall meet at the call of the chairman or vice

28  chairman of the board of directors of Enterprise Florida,

29  Inc., but shall meet at least quarterly. Meetings of the

30  advisory committee on international business and the advisory

31  committee on small business may be held telephonically;

 1  however, meetings of the committees that are held in person

 2  shall be rotated at different locations around the state to

 3  ensure participation of local and regional economic

 4  development practitioners and other members of the public.

 5  Members of advisory committees, working groups, task forces,

 6  or similar organizations created by Enterprise Florida, Inc.,

 7  shall serve without compensation, but may be reimbursed for

 8  reasonable, necessary, and actual expenses, as determined by

 9  the board of directors of Enterprise Florida, Inc.

14         On page 3, line 10, after the first semicolon

16  insert:

17         requiring the creation of advisory committees

18         on international business and small business;

19         prescribing the purpose and procedures of such

20         committees; providing for reimbursement of

21         expenses;
