  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act creating the Student Loan Operating

  3         Trust Fund within the Department of Education;

  4         creating the trust fund, specifying its uses,

  5         and providing for its exemption from the

  6         termination requirements of the State

  7         Constitution; providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  (1)  The Student Loan Operating Trust Fund

12  is created within the Department of Education. The trust fund

13  shall be used for the purposes required by the Federal

14  Government under Pub. L. No. 105-244.

15         (2)  The Legislature finds that the Student Loan

16  Operating Trust Fund is exempt from termination pursuant to

17  Section 19(f) of Article III of the State Constitution.

18         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1999.
