  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to automatic teller machine

  3         transaction surcharges; creating s. 655.966,

  4         F.S.; prohibiting financial institutions from

  5         imposing surcharges on transactions at

  6         automatic teller machines; providing an

  7         effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  Section 655.966, Florida Statutes, is

12  created to read:

13         655.966  Automatic teller machine transaction surcharge

14  prohibition.--A financial institution shall not impose any

15  surcharge upon any transaction conducted at an automatic

16  teller machine.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

18  law.
