11  Senator Sullivan moved the following amendment to amendment

12  (333964):

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 276, between lines 26 and 27,

16

17  insert:

18         Section 201.  Effective upon this act becoming a law,

19  subsection (9) is added to section 627.419, Florida Statutes,

20  to read:

21         627.419  Construction of policies.--

22         (9) Any health insurance policy that provides for

23  payment for services performed by a physician licensed under

24  chapter 458 or chapter 459, which services may be legally

25  performed by licensed advanced registered nurse practitioners,

26  shall be construed as providing for payment of such services

27  if performed by a licensed advanced registered nurse

28  practitioner. Services of an advanced registered nurse

29  practitioner must be performed in accordance with protocols

30  and under physician medical supervision or on-site medical

31  direction as required by ss. 464.012 and 395.0191.
