11  The Committee on Governmental Oversight and Productivity

12  recommended the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 69, between lines 9 and 10,

16

17  insert:

18         Section 56.  Section 381.0022, Florida Statutes, 1998

19  Supplement, is amended to read:

20         381.0022  Sharing confidential or exempt information.--

21         (1)  Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the

22  contrary, the Department of Health and the Department of

23  Children and Family Services may share confidential

24  information or information exempt from disclosure under

25  chapter 119 on any individual who is or has been the subject

26  of a program within the jurisdiction of each agency.

27  Information so exchanged remains confidential or exempt as

28  provided by law.

29         (2)  Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the

30  contrary, the Department of Health may share confidential

31  information or information exempt from disclosure under

 1  chapter 119 on any individual who is or has been a Medicaid

 2  recipient and is or was the subject of a program within the

 3  jurisdiction of the Department of Health, for the purpose of

 4  requesting, receiving, or auditing payment for services.

 5  Information so exchanged remains confidential or exempt as

 6  provided by law.
