11  Senator Meek moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 2, line 3, through page 3, line 27, delete

15  those lines

16

17  and insert:  This subsection applies exclusively to a

18  candidate, campaign manager, campaign treasurer, deputy

19  campaign treasurer, regardless whether they receive

20  remuneration, or a person employed or contracted by a

21  candidate, political party, political committee, or committee

22  of continuous existence for the purpose of providing political

23  or campaign-related goods or services, and who receives

24  remuneration, in any form, either directly or indirectly, in

25  exchange for providing the goods or services.

26         (3)  Any person who knowingly aids or abets another

27  person who has violated this code, with the intent that the

28  principal offender avoid detection, arrest, or prosecution,

29  shall be punished in like manner as the principal offender.

30  This subsection does not apply to a member of The Florida Bar

31  rendering legal advice to a client.

 7         On page 1, lines 3-18, delete those lines

 9  and insert:

10         104.091, F.S.; providing that certain persons

11         who agree, conspire, combine or confederate

12         with another person to knowingly commit a

13         violation of the Florida Election Code is

14         punishable as if he or she committed the

15         violation; providing that a person who

16         knowingly aids or abets another person who has

17         violated the code, with intent for that person

18         to avoid detection, arrest, or prosecution, is

19         punishable in like manner as the principal

20         offender; providing an exception; providing an

21         effective date.
