11  The Committee on Fiscal Policy recommended the following

12  amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 8, between lines 10 and 11,

16

17  insert:

18         Section 10.  The sum of $700,000 from non-recurring

19  General Revenue is appropriated for fiscal year 2000-2001 to

20  the State Technology Office to carry out the requirements of

21  this act. Of this appropriation, the Governor shall reserve

22  $100,000 to implement plans developed under this act. The

23  remaining $600,000 is to be used to reimburse eligible

24  companies for sales tax payments made on equipment

25  specifically associated with creation of a network access

26  point. The State Technology Office is authorized to adopt

27  rules to implement the sales tax refund provisions of this

28  act.
