11  Senator Horne moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 32, line 19, after the period,

15

16  insert:  If such developmental research school receives funds

17  for charter school capital outlay pursuant to s. 228.0561, it

18  shall receive capital outlay funds otherwise provided for in

19  this subsection only to the extent funds allocated pursuant to

20  s. 228.0561 are insufficient to provide capital outlay funds

21  to the developmental research school at one-fifteenth of the

22  cost per student station.

23         (i)  A developmental research school to which a charter

24  has been issued under s. 228.056(4) may issue bonds or incur

25  other debt obligations to cover the costs of acquiring real

26  and personal property and to provide for educational and

27  related facilities by constructing, equipping, maintaining,

28  improving, repairing, and renovating such facilities,

29  including the costs incurred in issuing such bonds or other

30  debt obligations, and any required reserves or similar funds.

31  Such developmental research school may use funds for charter

 1  school capital outlay pursuant to s. 228.0561, capital outlay

 2  funds otherwise provided for in this subsection, and any funds

 3  derived from the student activity and service fee authorized

 4  in subsection (5) to provide for educational and related

 5  facilities or to repay any bond or other debt obligations, the

 6  proceeds of which are used to provide for educational and

 7  related facilities.

12         On page 1, line 28, after the semicolon,

14  insert:

15         authorizing a developmental research school to

16         issue bonds or incur other debt obligations;

17         providing for repayment of such bonds or debt

19         activity and service fees;
