17 and insert:
18 Section 1. Subsections (2) and (3) of section 828.122,
19 Florida Statutes, are amended to read:
20 828.122 Fighting or baiting animals; offenses;
21 penalties.--
22 (2) As used in this section:
23 (a) "Baiting" means to attack with violence, to
24 provoke, or to harass an animal with one or more animals for
25 the purpose of training an animal for, or to cause an animal
26 to engage in, fights with or among other animals. In
27 addition, "baiting" means the use of live animals in the
28 training of racing greyhounds.
29 (b) "Fighting" means a conflict between two or more
30 nonhuman animals.
31 (c)(b) "Person" means every natural person, firm,
