18 Section 16. Subsection (3) of section 373.4149,
19 Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
20 373.4149 Miami-Dade County Lake Belt Plan.--
21 (3) The Miami-Dade County Lake Belt Area is that area
22 bounded by the Ronald Reagan Florida Turnpike to the east, the
23 Miami-Dade-Broward County line to the north, Krome Avenue to
24 the west and Tamiami Trail to the south together with the land
25 south of Tamiami Trail in sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 17, and 18,
26 Township 54 South, Range 39 East, sections 24, 25, and 36,
27 Township 54 South, Range 38 East less those portions of
28 section 10, except the west one-half, section 11, except the
29 northeast one-quarter and the east one-half of the northwest
30 one-quarter, and tracts 38 through 41, and tracts 49 through
31 64 inclusive, section 13, except tracts 17 through 35 and

1 tracts 46 through 48, of Florida Fruit Lands Company
2 Subdivision No. 1 according to the plat thereof as recorded in
3 plat book 2, page 17, public records of Miami-Dade County, and
4 section 14, except the west three quarters, Township 52 South,
5 Range 39 East, lying north of the Miami Canal, sections 35 and
6 36 and the east one-half of sections 24 and 25, Township 53
7 South, Range 39 East and Government Lots 1 and 2, lying
8 between Townships 53 and 54 South, Range 39 East and those
9 portions of sections 1 and 2, Township 54 South, Range 39
10 East, lying north of Tamiami Trail.
11 Section 17. Subsection (5) of section 373.4149,
12 Florida Statutes, is repealed.
13 Section 18. Any rights a person may have acquired
14 pursuant to subsection (5) of s. 373.4149, Florida Statutes,
15 shall be extinguished 6 months after the effective date of
16 this act; unless, prior to such date, that person has filed an
17 action in a court of competent jurisdiction to enforce such
18 alleged rights and has recorded a notice of lis pendens.
19 Section 19. In the next edition of the official
20 Florida Statutes, the Division of Statutory Revision is
21 directed to replace the phrase "6 months after the effective
22 date of this act," which appears in section 27 of this act,
23 with a date which is 6 months after the date this act becomes
24 a law.

4 373.4149(5), F.S.; relating to requirements on
5 the sale or lease of certain property or the

7 area; extinguishing any rights that may have
8 been acquired pursuant to the repealed
9 language, if certain conditions are not met;
10 providing a directive to the Division of
11 Statutory Revision;
