11  Senator Rossin moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         Delete everything after the enacting clause

16  and insert:

17         Section 1.  Subsection (17) is added to section

18  320.771, Florida Statutes, to read:

19         320.771  License required of recreational vehicle

20  dealers.--

21         (17)  SHARING CERTAIN INSURANCE COMMISSIONS

22  PROHIBITED.--In accordance with the provisions of s. 626.753,

23  a dealer or recreational vehicle broker who is not a licensed

24  insurance agent may not share in the commission on the sale of

25  insurance coverage for the types of recreational vehicles

26  defined in s. 320.01(1)(b) by the creation of a foreign

27  partnership, corporation, or other entity that is controlled

28  by a person or entity that is not licensed as an insurance

29  agent.

30         Section 2.  This act shall take effect October 1, 2000.

 7         An act relating to the sharing of insurance

 8         commissions; amending s. 320.771, F.S.;

 9         prohibiting recreational vehicle dealers and

10         brokers from sharing in specified insurance

11         commissions under certain circumstances;

12         providing an effective date.
