13         Amendment to Senate Amendment (532252) (with title

14  amendment) 

15         On page 1, lines 17 through 23,

16  remove:  all of said lines

18  insert:

19         Section 6.  In addition to the discretionary millage

20  authorized in the 2000-2001 General Appropriations Act, the

21  School Board of Sarasota County may levy up to 1.0 additional

22  mill of discretionary school millage for one year only,

23  conditioned to take effect only upon approval by a majority

24  vote of the electors of the county voting in a referendum, for

25  the purpose of implementing the transition to charter district

26  status under section 228.058, F.S. Funds generated by such

27  additional millage shall not become a part of the calculation

28  of Florida Education Finance Program total potential funds in

29  2000-2001 or any subsequent year and shall not be incorporated

30  in the calculation of any hold harmless or other component of

31  the Florida Education Finance Program formula in any year.
