11  Senator Silver moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment 

14         On page 8, between lines 17 and 18,

16  insert:

17         Section 5.  By July 1, 2000, the Department of Juvenile

18  Justice shall produce and give to the Department of Highway

19  Safety and Motor Vehicles, an information sheet detailing when

20  a youth will be required to be transferred to adult court for

21  adult prosecution and sentencing under this bill. The

22  Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles will then be

23  required to distribute this information sheet to all youths

24  applying for a driver's license, to be signed by the youth

25  indicating he or she has read the sheet, and to be mailed by

26  the youth to his or her state attorney's office for storage.
