8 packaged and sold; providing an effective date.

10 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
11
12 Section 1. Subsection (6) of section 563.06, Florida
13 Statutes, is amended to read:
14 563.06 Malt beverages; imprint on individual
15 container; size of containers; exemptions.--
16 (6) All malt beverages packaged in individual
17 containers sold or offered for sale by vendors at retail in
18 this state shall be in individual containers containing no
19 more than only 8, 12, 16, or 32 ounces of such malt beverages;
20 provided, however, that nothing contained in this section
21 shall affect malt beverages packaged in bulk or in kegs or in
22 barrels or in any individual container containing 1 gallon or
23 more of such malt beverage regardless of individual container
24 type.
25 Section 2. Section 564.055, Florida Statutes, is
26 created to read:
27 564.055 Cider containers.--Notwithstanding any other
28 law to the contrary, cider, as defined in s. 564.06(4), may be
29 sold by vendors at retail in any size individual container
30 containing no more than 32 ounces of cider; however, this
31 section does not prohibit cider from being packaged and sold

1 in bulk, in kegs or barrels, or in any individual container
2 that contains 1 gallon or more of cider, regardless of
3 container type.
4 Section 3. This act shall take effect October 1, 2001.
